Century Sampler - New York City Ballet

CENTURY SAMPLER

Witness the evolution of classical dance over the course of three centuries. Begin with Coppélia, a full-length ballet from the apex of the Russian story-telling tradition. Continue with a grouping of ballets ranging from the neo-classical Stravinsky Violin Concerto and La Valse to Robbins’ love story for a new generation, West Side Story Suite. This epochal progression concludes with a program of works all created during the 21st Century, including a world premiere by NYCB alumna Melissa Barak.
