Participating classes learn the fundamentals of ballet and attend a live performance at the David H. Koch Theater. In-school workshops focus on discovery, analysis and creation through using and exploring the fundamental elements of music and movement, culminating in the performance of student choreographic work. Additionally, middle school classes focus on the connection between artistic disciplines through their participation in an excursion to another arts and cultural organization and a tour of the David H. Koch Theater.
Program includes: Thirteen In-School Workshops, Two Classroom Teacher Professional Development Sessions, NYCB Student Matinee Performance. The Middle School program also includes an excursion to another arts and cultural organization and a Theater Tour (December – May)
